1) What this policy covers

This policy explains what we collect when you use Image Resizer Tool, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here conflicts with local law where you live, the stricter rule applies.

2) What we collect

We collect the minimum needed to run the Service:

  1. Files you upload
    • Images you submit for resizing.
    • We process them to create your output and then delete them per our retention schedule (see Section 8).
  2. Technical data (automatically collected)
    • IP address, device/browser type, language, referring URL, date/time, and error logs.
    • Used for security (abuse prevention), performance, and debugging.
  3. Usage data (analytics)(optional—fill in)
    • If enabled, we use [Google Analytics/Matomo/etc.] to understand feature usage (e.g., which buttons get clicked).
    • This may set cookies or similar technologies. (see section 7).
  4. Support messages
    • When you email us or message us via number, we collect the info you provide (e.g., email, number, message content).

3) What we use it for

  • Provide the Service: process your image and deliver the output you requested.
  • Security & abuse prevention: detect spam, attacks or misuse.
  • Improve & fix: monitor performance, debug issues, and improve features.
  • Legal compliance: comply with valid legal requests and enforce our Terms.

We do not use your uploaded images for training models, marketing, or any purpose other than processing your request.

4) Legal bases

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the resize you asked for.
  • Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, service improvement.
  • Consent: where required for analytics/cookies or marketing (if any).
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws.

5) Who gets your data

We share data only with service providers who help us run the Service, under contracts that limit how they can use it:

  • Hosting/CDN: Hostinger (stores servers and delivers files fast).
  • Analytics: [Google Analytics/Matomo/etc.]
  • Payment processor: Stripe/Paddle/etc.
    We don’t sell your personal information.

6) Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Delete your data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Object or restrict certain processing
  • Port your data (get a copy in a portable format)
  • Withdraw consent (for things you consented to, like analytics cookies)

7) Cookies & similar tech

  • Essential cookies: run the site (e.g., load balancing, basic settings).
  • Analytics cookies: help us understand usage and improve.

Your choices:

  • Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies.
  • If we use analytics/ads, we’ll show a cookie banner to collect consent where required and honor your choices.

8) File handling, storage, and deletion

  • Processing only: We process uploaded files solely to create your resized output.
  • Temporary storage: Files may be held in temporary storage or cache while the resize completes.
  • Deletion window: We aim to delete uploads and outputs after processing. (~ 24 hrs.)
  • No backups of your files: We don’t keep archival copies of your images. Keep your own backups.

9) Data retention (non-file data)

  • Logs/analytics: kept for [Y days/months] to maintain security and improve the Service.
  • Support email: kept as long as needed to address your request and for audit/legal reasons.

10) Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect data in transit and at rest (HTTPS, access controls, and limited retention). No method is 100% secure; upload at your own risk and keep your originals safely backed up.

11) International transfers

We may process data on servers located in [country/region] and/or via providers in other countries. Where required, we use approved safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.

12) Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 8 (or the age required in your country). Do not use the Service if you are under that age. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us and we’ll delete it.

13) Third party links

If the Service links to other websites, their privacy practices apply there. We’re not responsible for third party sites.

14) Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for responding to it, so we don’t respond to DNT signals. We do honor applicable cookie/consent choices.

15) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the “Effective date” above and, when changes are material, we’ll post a notice on the site and/or email account holders (if applicable). Your continued use means you accept the updated policy.
